Personality: Takayoshi usually maintains a stern, serious and distanced personality, but often loses his temper in a goofy and exaggerated comical style. He can also be extremely intimidating, easily frightening weaker opponents with just his glare. It has also been stated that he has a monstrous killing intent. Despite this, Takeyoshi has a kind heart, shown as he was willing to risk death for the sake of children or people he doesn't or barely knows. He has a strong sense of leadership and reasoning. While technically not a samurai, Takayoshi maintains Bushido to a certain degree (i.e. he consistently refuses to attack an adversary whose back is turned, the only exception being when his captain was in imminent danger of losing his life and he struck the attacker from behind, and himself considers a scar on the back to be a swordsman's greatest shame). Whether he agrees with them or not, he will stand by his leader's (when he has one) decisions, stepping in only to point out the seriousness of a situation where it has been overlooked by his crewmates or friends.

Taka has no sense of direction at all and his former senseis often laughed about it. Often, he refuses to admit his fault and simply states that the others got lost. Strangely, he always arrives at the place he wants to be before any other people. Takayoshi simply answers to that fact that he's lucky.

The sense of pride is very strong in the young man. He's proud of his pirate reputation as that of a bounty hunter in the land of the shinobi and even takes fun into pointing out that he is better known then any of his opponents.

Takayoshi can provide important and logical decisions at critical times by evaluating the situation from an objective point of view. However, while on some occasions he can be the voice of reason, most of the time Taka rushes into things and leaves it to fate to decide the details, much to the horror of his former crew members and new friends as he fails to see his own fault.

Special Characteristics/Traits:
Bold personality- He makes absolutely no difference between a king or a commoner. He'll always speak to anyone in the same direct and almost offensive manner.
Observant- Takayoshi is a very observant man, noticing easily if someone's lying or not and discovering details or traps, even from quite a far distance.
Loyality- Taka's loyality lies only in his own rules. He won't bow towards any man or god, till he wants to. Whenever he has a leader, he'll follow his word, even if he's against it.
Speed- The young man has an uncommon speed when it comes to running, fighting, activating jutsus.
Stamina- His stamina pools are so large that even a Kage can't match up with it.
Stealth- Takayoshi has a great stealth and his body is known to be hard to cut.
Ambidextrous- He can use both hands perfectly for anything he wants to do. But his left hand will always be his dominant hand.
Concentration- He has a great concentration and is able to forget his pain once he's in battle.
Easily angered- When he's angry, Takayoshi is a very dangerous opponent, without any mercy and won't let the enemy die in a honorable way and would disgrace the corpse of the dead person.
One track minded- Once he has an idea in his head, Taka won't stop following it, till he has what he wants.
No sense of direction- Takayoshi has absolutely no sense of direction and will always claim that the others got lost instead of himself.

Your character's description Takayoshi is a foreign ninja, from the country from the very south, at the other side of the great seas, where the desert wind blows all the time and where it rains once every three years. Former pirate, but driven to settle down by the constant chasing by other pirates, he decided to stay in the country of the "shadow people".
Takayoshi is a normal sized, muscular young man. He almost always carries around his three swords bundled up with a green sash, or haramaki, over his right hip, allowing him to easily draw any of them with his left hand; this may indicate that he is left-handed or even ambidextrous.
His original appearance, when he came in the Land of the Shinobis, he had long, curly black hair, a white hoodie, held by a small black chain, that was help around his head with a emerald fastening. He wore expensive silver and emerald earrings on his right ear. His clothing were made of creme, blue and green colored silk and cotton, very resistant to the sea and desert winds. His sleeves were decorated with embroideries representing mythical plants. He had simple sandlas made of light brown leather at his feet.
When he adapted himself to the new country, he cut his long hair, and changed his way of clothing drastically. He decided to wear simple black pants made of strong cotton, a white shirt with a high collar made of white expensive fur. At his hips, still the green haramaki with his three swords. And he wore his earrings at his other ear.
His eyes are like that of a snake, but their color is as green as the emerals he wears at his ear. His lips were slightly too large and his nose was long and pointy. His skin was pale colored. The hands of the foreign man were long and thin, clasping his swords tightly in them in every battle he entered.
His body is covered with scars, all pretty well hidden except the one on his chest, that he got from a slash from one of his most closest friends who betrayed him.

People describe him as a snake and that he smells like steel.

Takayoshi's swordstyle revolves around an unusual sword style that uses three swords instead of a single sword. He can use three swords, two swords, and one sword style techniques. When he uses three swords, the third one is placed in his mouth.

Santōryū means using three swords. It's Takayoshi's favorite attacks with his triple swords.

History:

Childhood:

Yakayoshi Shinji was born to be a leader and a daring fighter. That's what he claims when he vaguely talks about his first years of life. But the man has not much memories of it, except the period where he trained under his beloved sensei, the only man he trusted like a father and that he came from a great clan of the desert, who were exitinct except for a side branch from which he came from.
The man taught him that there were swordsmen who couldn't cut anything, but also those who could cut anything at will. Since he heard those words, Yakayoshi trained hard to become that sort of a man; the best swordsfighter in the world.

The young boy, at the age of 7, took the training of an adult on his shoulders and kept on training, day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year. His stamina increased scarily and his small body grew faster then that of a normal child.
His character became also stronger, wilder, sterner. He stopped playing, laughing, smiling. He put his whole being into being a swordsman, the unique swordsman to use three blades in battle at the same time.

Teenager's life:

Takayoshi was early attracted to the sea and the free life as a pirate. Sadly, he could never join any pirate crew when he was only 12 and decided to enter the marines. There, he learned disciplin, punctuality and stubbornness. But it wasn't enough for him.
At the age of 14, he escaped from the boat and slipped into the ship of the Suna Arabasta Pirates, a crew known for it's cruelty when it came to torture with blades. He got lucky and amused the Capitain with his yells and words about wanting to join the crew and become the greatest swordsman on the earth.
"Lil' Shrimps should go back to their mothers skirts." laughed the man at that time.
Takayoshi lost his temper and while everyone was busy laughing, he cut a hand off the vice-captain and impaled the man to the mast with one of his swords in the neck, killing him instantanely. The whole crew went silent, shocked by the killer intent that came off the teenager.
"Old man! I've decided that the Vice-Captain wasn't strong enough! Thus, I killed him to take his place!"
The next thign that Taka can remember of what happened after that, was that the doctor of the crew was taking care of the wound he had on his back. Later he heard that the captain had killed the pirate who had slashed him from behind, in shame of the cowardly attitude of that man.
"We're the Suna Arabasta Pirates! We take all enemies in front! It's part of our code of honor! If anyone has an objection to it, he can take it up with me!"

Yamato, the captain, became Taka's idol and rival from that day on. And the man decided that only that kid could be his most fearsome enemy. The friendship and yet rivalery they shared, always surprised all the people who were around them. But no one else had ever been able to make the child understand what close friends meant, except for him. Yamato gave his life to save his whole crew, which he called "nakama" as in the language of the people who lived on the country of the "shadow people".
The captain also taught him lots of sword techniques, taught him how to write and read, maths, navigation, true leadership, medical knowledge, how to read the signs in the sky and several foreign languages.At the age of 17, Takayoshi became the captain of the Suna Arabasta crew, his first objective accomplished. Sadly, he'd always regret that he had never been able to beat the "old man" himself.

Being a pirate's crew captain:

Takayoshi had hard times with the responsabilities of a captain on his shoulders. Though, he raised the name of the Suna Arabasta Pirates, but plundering more, taking more crew members in and hunting other pirates down, collecting a huge amount of bounties and raising his own on his head to an unbelievable amount of money.
Admirals, captains, country leaders went chasing after him and his crew.
Refusing to see reality in front and completely in the game of playing mouse and cat with them, Taka went on bounty hunting and became one of the most fearsome people on the sea and owned his nickname Chigatana Ashura (Bloody Sword Demon) from the rumor that his swords were constantly covered with dripping blood and from the fact no one ever beat him.

Takayoshi got eventually bored from being chased around and decided to give up his title as captain of the Suna Arabasta crew.
"The one who will claim my bounty will be God himself if he feels like it! Because I'm never going to allow any human to get it." he declared. "Now, have fun with your new reputation and don't decive the old man's name! See ya."
And on those words, he jumped at the land of the shadow people.

Ninja arc:

Takayoshi stranded at the Moon village, when he was 18. Not knowing their language and noticing strange gear wearing people and children being able to summon natural elements at will, he stepped directly into the office of the leader. Well, more like, he bardged into all houses, causing a great commotion, till he found a man who stopped him.
"Who are you?" asked the man in a strange language.
Takayoshi simply pointed at the man and answered:
"Nakama."
The Kage Chojiro laughed and brought the young man in his office.

One week later, Taka was doing D ranks as all genin. He never felt that much humiliated as a warrior. He could beat all those midgets with one hit of one of his swords, and yet he had to do chores like them. But it was necessary, he'll recognize later on. After all, he needed to learn their language, habits, rules, culture, fighting techniques, laws and what not to be able to live in the country of the shinobi.

He was the personal student of the Kage of the village, who taught him all what he needed to know. He taught him what elements he had, most of the basic jutsus he knew and also taught him how to read and write in japanese, the common language of the country. But when Chojiro wanted to make of him a shinobi of the Moon Village, Takayoshi refused.
"I got only one affiliation, and that is the sea and my title as member of the Suna Arabasta Pirates. I'll be a ninja...but with no ties to any village except from my nakama."
The Kage looked at him, surprised but finally accepted his position with a sigh.
"It's not like I can make you listen to me...You don't recognize me as your leader."
"Damn straight." was the grinning answer of the young man.

Takayoshi became an expert into ninja hunting and became the most famous bounty hunter in the Moon Village. Even though he lived there for 2 years, he only made one noticable friend and that was the Kage, who had become one of his precious nakama.
His three swords still on his right hip, he gained his title as Chigatana Ashura again, but on the land this time. And his personal bounty went up above 30 thousand ryo, to his great joy.

"Meh, Taka-chan..."
"Stop calling me that, ojii-san!" scolded Takayoshi back at the kage.
"What are you exactly planning to do, once you've enough of being my student?"
The young man crossed his arms and stared at his cup of sake, that Chojiro had given him while they were playing a game of Go. Takayoshi took his time to think before answering and finally said, while conquering 6 white chips from his friend:
"Becoming the greatest swordsman of the world."
"Eeeeeh...I thought you were seeking to have the highest bounty ever on each continent of this world."
"Of course not! How ridiculous can that goal be?! It's as stupid as wanting to paint all day long."
The young man managed to dodge just on time the kunai that Chojiro had send at him.
"Don't challenge me, Taka-chan."
"Quit calling me that!"
"Why should I?"
"Just quit it, old man! I'm giving you some help here after all as serving as one of your men anyways! You owe me some respect!"
Takayoshi learned after that, even if they were good friends, he'd better not mess with Chojiro, because his prisons were far from being fun. And the man was far from being mercy full. A scar on his shoulder could tell that story at his place...


Ashura's swords Arc:

Takayoshi had always one sword who remained at his side; the Akatana (Red Blade). He had inherited it from his sensei of his childhood days. It was his principal sword, on which he relied the most. The two others had to be replaced countless of times.
Finally, Chojiro kicked Takayoshi out of the village, till he had found a weaponsmith in the Demon Country and made him two cursed katanas. The young man only shrugged and followed his orders.

The way till there was not without any dangers and in the 6 months he took to get there, he claimed 8 bounties of above 50 thousand ryo and raised his own till 50 thousand. He met while chasing those criminals quite a few interesting people, like Yukimishu's Kage herself. He was attracted by the cheerful attitude of the person and hearing about her friendly relationship with the Moon Kage, he decided that she was part of his nakama, after shrugging a crush he had upon her off.
After refusing to stay any longer in the village anymore (after 2 months), he moved on to the Demon Country.

After wandering for a month, looking for the best weapon smith, he found an old man on the road, half unconscious. He poked him with his scabbard.
"Ohe, old man, you're still alive?"
As fast as the wind, the old man stood up and pointed at him.
"You little eggplant, don't call me old man! I'm only in my early 130's! I'm only 139 years old!"
"...You sure you didn't hit your head, old man?"
The man knocked Taka flatly out.

A few hours later, the ex-captain woke up by the sound of clanging metal and that of a huge fire. He was sweating and he couldn't notice otherwise that the place was overly hot. Trying to find Akatana, he stood up.
"Oi, oi, oi, where's my sword? And where am I?" he yelled.
"Shut up, young eggplant!"
"Ji-Ji! (translated as gramps)" yelled Taka while pointing at the man who was full of dirt and who had a huge hammer in his right hand. "Where the heck is my sword?!"
The hammer landed on Taka's head, knocking him out again. The old man sighed and threw a bucket of water over the young man, who immediately woke up, gasping for air.
"Quit it with knocking me out! Who do you think I am?!"
"Shut it, you weakling!"
"Just answer my question!"
"What? The secret to my youth? I'm never going to tell you that one."
Takayoshi fell over comically and jumped right up while yelling that wasn't his question and that he wanted his damned sword back. The old man shoved a meat bun in Taka's mouth and told him again to shut up and brought him to his working place. The heat there was even more unbearable there, thanks to the humongeous fireplace. The smell of steel was everywhere and the whole place was black of dirty.
"Hey, old man..."
A cough make Taka stop and think for a moment and then continued:
"What's your name?"
"Yuu You."
"Yuu-san, what did you do to my sword Akatana?"
"Aaaaah, you own a named blade, huh? Such a little eggplant has already one? And your hands and face tells me you use more then just that only blade."
"Ohe, ohe, quit calling me little eggplant. It gets on my nerves. I got a name you know." replied Taka annoyed while waving the old man off.
"Oh really?"
Takayoshi wanted to drop dead.
"Yes, of course I got a name! Takayoshi Shinji is my name!"
"How can a little eggplant claim such a name? Leader of True Justice? Don't make me laugh!"
The old man picked some metal up and made it heat up in the fire.
"HEY! I got called that way! Not my fault! And in my language it doesn't meant the same! And what are you doing?"
"I'm forging a katana as you can see."
"Really? Why did heat up the steel?"

Six months passed and Takayoshi became a good weaponsmith. At the end of his apprentiship, he had stopped growing and his muscles had become harder then ever. And his pockets were empty from buying two other named katanas from the old Yuu You. Sandai-Kitetsu and Shuusui, two cursed blades, with their mind of their own.
"Problematic kids, huh?" mumbled Takayoshi while he cut a piece of paper with them.
"Stop whining and just take them. But be careful, all users of those blades became mad..."
"Just like you are. Ramming 5 ton hammers on people's head would kill a normal person you know."
"Like you're a normal person!"
"How could you know in advance that I wasn't normal?!"
"I didn't?"
Taka sighed, hugged the old man and began his journey back to his home, which would take less then a month. He would be 19 when he came back to the Moon Village.

S rank jutsus and discovery of a bloodline trait:

Takayoshi randomly walked up to his friend, the moon Kage and told him:
"Teach me a S rank jutsu."
"Why would I?"
"Because I might use it in your favor when someone attacks your village?"
Chojiro sighed and answered:
"I will...If you can prove me that you're worth it."
"HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO DO THAT?" yelled Taka, angered already by the conversation. "This conversation is annoying me!"
"You started it, idiot." was the calm reply of Chojiro.
"No, I didn't."
"Just admit for once it was your fault."
"I didn't do anything!"
"Try to figure out if you got a bloodline trait or not. Then we'll see."
"I hate you."
"No you don't. Now get out before I cut you into little pieces with your own swords."
And Taka left the Moon village.

A year later, he came back, with his pockets filled with sand. No one ever knew what he did, but what Chojiro knew for sure, was that his nakama wasn't a normal human anymore and that he was sure that his veins were filled with sand instead of blood...
"Now, teach me a S rank jutsu!"
"...Fine."
"When are we going to begin training?"
"Soon."
"Damn you, Cho."
"Taka-chan, stop being a bother."
"QUIT CALLING ME THAT ALREADY!"

And Takayoshi decided to leave Moon Village once he would have learned at least a S rank jutsu from the Kage himself.
